Discos are coming  this Thursday Week 9 (June 29). Information for the discos is as follows:

 R/1: 2.10-3.10 in the gym – Tickets $4.00 includes cup of juice and small bag of chips

 2-5: 5.00-6.15pm – Tickets $3.00. Cans of soft drink available $2 each, chips $1.50 each

 5-7: 6.30-8.00pm – Tickets $3.00. Cans of soft drink available $2 each, chips $1.50 each

The theme is Rainbow

Tickets will be on sale from 1.00pm-1.30pm Monday to Wednesday Week 9.

 

Challenege: to work in teams to design and build a catapault that would launch a marshmallow.

Materials: popsticks, rubber bands, plastic spoons, hot glue, sticky tape

The next day we tested our catapaults with a competition to see which group could launch a marshmallow the furthest. Each group had three shots and we recorded the best distance out of three. The winning group lauched their marshmallow almost 3 metres

I am Looking forward to our trip around the world this week with students presenting their country speeches.

With each speech students are gaining confidence and improving their public speaking skills. They are also displaying excellent audience skills when listening to their peers.
